Four Named to 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team



HANOVER, N.H. – Four members of the Dartmouth women’s volleyball team have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Piper Stevens, Maddie LaFata, Emma Engstrom and Kauany Gutz were recognized for their hard work in the classroom and on the court during the 2024 season.
 
Stevens, a senior outside hitter and middle blocker is a neuroscience major with a 3.85 GPA. She played in 91 of 96 sets this season for the Big Green. She had a total of 180 kills for 1.98 kills per set and a .154 hitting percentage. She added 11 sets to her stat line. Stevens notched 24 service aces and 199 digs for 2.19 digs per set. She tallied 30 blocks and contributed a total of 221.0 points for Dartmouth.
 
LaFata, an undecided major sophomore and right side hitter, has a 3.67 GPA. She played in 91 total sets, starting four matches for the Big Green. LaFata tallied 230 total kills for 2.53 per set with a .269 hitting percentage. She added 38 blocks on her season stat line for a total of 250.5 points throughout. LaFata averaged 2.75 points per set for the Big Green.
 
Engstrom a senior libero and defensive specialist, is a sociology major with a 3.62 GPA. She played in all 96 sets in her senior season for the Big Green. She tallied 118 sets for 1.23 per set. She also notched 22 service aces. Engstrom contributed a team high 371 digs for the Big Green for 3.86 per set. The majority of the season, Engstrom held the top spot in the Ivy League in digs per set. She also recorded one kill and had 23.0 points for Dartmouth.
 
Gutz, a junior outside hitter and neuroscience major has a 3.60 GPA. She appeared in 94 of the 96 sets this season. She recorded a team high 297 kills for 3.16 kills per set for a .185 hitting percentage. She also included 14 sets. She tallied another team high in service aces with 25. She ranked second on the team in digs with 223 for 2.37 per set. She recorded 39 blocks for the Big Green and contributed a team high total of 343.0 points over the season.
