Strong cold front, chance of storms overnight Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth


A strong cold front will move across North Texas overnight Tuesday, possibly bringing more rain followed by cooler, drier and breezy weather.

Patchy fog that lingered over Dallas-Fort Worth early Tuesday should dissipate by late morning with conditions being either partly sunny or partly cloudy the remainder of the day. High temperatures will climb into the 60s and 70s.

The storms are not expected to be severe but could be strong and create threats of gusty winds and small hail, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

After patchy frost i some areas early in the day, Thursday is expected to bring sunny and pleasant weather, according to the KXAS-TV (NBC5) forecast.

There will be another cold front Thursday night but the cooling is predicted to be minimal.

The end of the week through the weekend will likely remain dry and near-seasonal temperatures should settle in, forecast show. Across the region, highs will be in the 50s to the lower 60s with lows in the 30s and lower 40s.
