CINCINNATI (WXIX) – An Amber Alert was canceled early Tuesday after a 3-year-old girl was found safe and the suspect who is her father was taken into custody, according to Cincinnati police.
The Amber Alert was issued at 4:10 a.m. for the child who was believed to have been abducted.
Jeremy Judkins, 28, was found at the family’s apartment in Westwood shortly after 5 a.m., said the night chief, Captain Robert Wilson.
The girl was found in Roselawn, District 4 police confirm.
She was at the suspect’s sister’s residence, Captain Wilson said: She is “okay” and safe and was reunited with her mother.
This was a domestic situation and the suspect, girl and her mother all live at the Westwood apartment where he was taken into custody, according to Captain Wilson.
FOX19 NOW’s cameras were there when officers walked Judkins out of the building in handcuffs and put him into a police vehicle.
Police are now questioning the suspect because he made threats against the girl’s safety, according to the captain.
So far no charges have been filed, he added.
The Amber Alert was in effect for Hamilton County and surrounding counties: Butler, Clermont, and Warren along with the Southwest Ohio region, which also covers Brown, Clinton and Highland counties.
