Good morning, BBN!
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for Kentucky Wildcats football this offseason. There were a lot of transfers, but also some good buzz with Ja’Mori Maclin coming back and some interior help on the offensive line coming from the portal.
Kentucky seems to be the favorite to land former SEC quarterback Zach Calzada. Two 247 crystal balls predict the Cats will land him.
Calzada has spent the last couple of years in the FCS ranks, putting up some strong numbers at Incarnate Ward, which also produced current Miami Hurricanes star and potential No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Cam Ward.
No matter the QB situation next year, having options is always great. Calzada is a guy with a chip on his shoulder, and maybe that’s something that Mark Stoops and this staff really need heading into next season.
What are some other major positions the Cats need to focus on in the portal? Let us know in the comments!
