The Talk – Canceled/Ending in December 2024
The daytime talk show The Talk is coming to an end later this month after 15 years. Finale week will kick off on Monday (December 16) with a series finale date set for Friday (December 20). The current hosting lineup – Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Natalie Morales – will all be on hand for the final shows.
After premiering in 2010, The Talk has earned 11 Daytime Emmy Award nominations over the years, including for Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
So why is The Talk ending? Deadline shared that it is expensive to produce and the ratings are not over the top. CBS is also planning on airing their new soap opera, Beyond the Gates, during The Talk‘s time slot.
