Chuck is the oldest of three brothers, born to Wilma (née Scarberry) and Ray Norris. Aside from Aaron, he also had another younger brother, Wieland Norris, who died at age 26 while serving in the Army during the Vietnam War.

“Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish,” Chuck continued of his mom.

The proud son told his followers that Wilma “had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own.”

“From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion. I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day,” he continued.

Concluded the Walker, Texas Ranger alum, “We love you, Mom. Until we meet again.”

Back in May 2021, Chuck celebrated Wilma turning “100 years young,” writing in an essay that the Wilson, Oklahoma-born woman “had a very difficult first half of her life,” having been “raised in abject poverty” and “given away as a ward of the state when she was only 8 years old.”

“She was treated for two years for a rare disease, living away from the family in a children’s hospital,” he added. “When she returned healthy a few years later, she lived through the Great Depression.”

Chuck went on to praise his mother’s “perseverance and faith” throughout her life, including through the deaths of many family members, facing “cancer repeatedly” and “[going] through roughly 30 different surgeries for a host of issues — and yet she’s still here to tell about it.”

“Mom, I don’t know what’s more difficult to believe: that you are 100 years old or that you have a son who is 81 years old!” he added at the time. “Regardless, I’m so grateful you are my mom, and so is brother Aaron. We always have been. We’ve been through thick and thin in this life, and we are still going strong – a little rust but still runnin’!”
