Humans have discussed controversies in and out of existence throughout history and believed or not, one thing is true — the number of reported Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena is increasing.
The United States Department of Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence presented their annual joint report on UAP the week of Nov. 11, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
There were 757 reported UAPs to the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office between May 1, 2023, and June 1 of this year.
Northwest Assistant Director of Operations Scott Shields said he began to truly believe when Ufologist Steven M. Greer and his disclosure project caught Shields’ attention.
“Long story short is, I’m not a conspiracy theorist,” Shields said. “The deeper I’ve gotten into it, the more that I genuinely believe there’s something to it. For me, the real secret is not that there’s life elsewhere in the universe. It’s this man-made stuff that is being hidden and being done illegally.”
The Disclosure Project Intelligence Archive is a collection of information and research done by Greer about the Unidentified Flying Object and UAP subject.
Shields said the Disclosure Project Intelligence Archive is available to the public and has most of the evidence and information someone might need about the topic.
“He has put 30 years worth of evidence, probably 50 terabytes worth of data onto the web for free for the world to see,” Shields said. “It’s every classified document, you name it, it’s in there. And so really, the amount of evidence that’s out there is overwhelming, but nobody wants you to see it.”
A common term used when describing mysterious objects is Unidentified Flying Object or UFO. The use of this term changed among investigators and researchers beginning an official switch in 2020, when the DOD established the navy-led UAP task force, according to CBS News.
There have been six UFO sightings in Maryville between 2000 and 2020, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.
Shields hosted the disclosure project, film and lecture series; the first of the three-night series was Nov. 13. Attendees heard Shields speak for about 15 minutes about past congressional hearings related to UFOs and UAPs as well as the most recent hearings scheduled for the same day as this first lecture.
The attendees also watched a documentary titled “Unacknowledged.” This film focuses on the historical findings of the Disclosure Project and how UFO secrecy has been enforced and why.
The two lectures scheduled to continue the series were canceled by Shields due to lack of attendance. In these next two lectures, Shields planned to continue to speak about this topic and share two more films, “The Lost Century” and “Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind.”
Shields said the second film he planned to show, “The Lost Century,” focuses on the idea that technology is being suppressed. This is one aspect Greer is advocating for, specifically that people are not getting access to devices that can provide free energy.
“The U.S. Patent Office is blocking stuff,” Shields said. “And there’s witnesses in that documentary that talk about that happening. All this stuff about global warming, and you know all the bad stuff that we’re doing in the world, if he’s right, and the answer is out there for free, and we’re not getting access to it.”
In his speech, Shields said he believes the information shared in the recent congressional hearings was a mix of solid information with bad intentions.
The Nov. 13 congressional hearings spoke on a variety of topics most relating to UAPs or the Pentagon.
One of these hearings was titled, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth. There were four witnesses who testified at this hearing, one of which was former Senior Counterintelligence Officer for the Department of Defense Luis Elizondo.
During his testimony, Elizondo said the U.S. government has obtained UAP.
“Let me be clear — UAP are real,” Elizondo said. “Advanced technologies not made by our Government — or any other government — are monitoring sensitive military installations around the globe.”
Not only does the government have access to UAP, the Pentagon has also been withholding information from Congress, according to a document found on U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace’s website. This document was reviewed and approved by The Department of State, Bureau of Global Public Affairs, as stated in the document.
The Immaculate Constellation Program is an Unacknowledged Special Access Program. The main mission of this program is to collect, analyze and share information about activities, locations and capabilities about anomalous aerospace threats that originate from foreign or unidentified sources.
Upon disclosure to Congress, it was determined that this USAP and its collateral information have not been lawfully reported to Congress, as stated in the document.
Shields said, as he researched these hearings, he began to question the motives of the people involved.
“It was a dog and pony show,” Shields said. “Nobody was a firsthand witness…There are witnesses who will happily step forward, I can name them, who would happily step forward and testify openly, but they’re not bringing the grade A witnesses.”
