Billie Eilish was hit in the face with what appeared to be a flying bracelet when the Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour played Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where she commanded the stage like the seasoned veteran she’s become at 22, on Friday, Dec. 13.
The star was sitting cross-legged on the stage singing “What Was I Made For?,” her Oscar-winning ballad from the “Barbie” soundtrack, when an object struck her in the face, a moment captured in fan footage shared on TikTok.
The video shows Eilish flinching and making a face as fans nearby begin to boo.
In a video posted on X, you can hear a voice in the audience say, “I’m sorry.”
Eilish continued to sing the hit, after missing the end of the line she was singing, before picking the object up and tossing it aside.

Eilish talked about being hit with things at the ‘Barbie’ premiere
At the “Barbie” world premiere in 2023, Eilish told The Hollywood Reporter she’s been getting hit with things on stage “for, like, literally six years.”
“People just get excited, and it can be dangerous,” she said. “It’s absolutely infuriating when you’re up there.
“I have mixed feelings about it because when you’re up there, it blows. But it’s like, you know it’s out of love, and they’re just trying to give you something. ‘Take my, you know, this.’ And you know, you’re in a vulnerable position, but I’ve been getting hit with stuff for, like, years, so. …”
As her brother Finneas noted, “They’re not throwing, like, tomatoes and oranges.”
The interview ended with Finneas turning to the camera and saying, “We get it, but don’t do that.”
Eilish talked about someone taking her ring at Phoenix concert
Earlier in her set in Phoenix, after a breathtaking version of “Lovely” that truly lived up to its title, Eilish talked about somebody taking a ring off her finger as she walked through the crowd.
“Y’all love to take off my rings,” she said. “But I love it. It’s fun. Oh my God, you guys run so intense that it’s insane. I love you so much. A bunch. The amount of rings and (expletive) that have been ripped off my fingers? And I know it’s not on purpose. It’s just like you just grab it. You don’t even care.”
She said she tries to hold her fingers in such a way that it’s harder to take her rings, then added, “Somebody took one over there. It’s all good. Whatever. If you find a ring …”
